I was just reading through some old logs and emails that I have. I was singing A Perfect Circle - Orestes.

Metaphor for a missing moment
Pull me into your perfect circle

And then I started singing "The Lord Hears the Cry of the Poor", an old church hymn which I haven't heard in years. I'm not sure why that came to me. It is a rather pretty song. It's in a minor key. I love minor keys. They sound so sad... I don't know, I just thought I should post that.

Let the lowly hear and be glad
The Lord listens to their pleas
To hearts broken, He is near
For He hears the cry of the poor

The Lord hears the cry of the poor
Blessed be the Lord

old church hymn
I heard the "The Lord Hears the Cry of the Poor" for the first time yesterday in church. It was so beautiful. I was searching for the words online when I find this website. Thank you for a stanza of words.
I hit upon this other line during my search:
“The Lord hears the cry of the poor (Psalm 9). The earthshaking question is, do I?” - Walter Burghardt

Thanks,
Joseph
