Game 82 of the 2002-2003 NHL Season...

Colorado: 5 - St. Louis: 2
L.A.: 2 - Vancouver: 0

The only way the Avs could secure third place in the conference and a record ninth consecutive division championship was if they won and Vancouver lost their final game in regulation.

Ta da. :)

Milan Hejduk scored his 50th goal of the season, becoming only the fourth player in franchise history to do so, and winning the Rocket Richard trophy for the league's highest goalscorer.

Peter Forsberg acquired three points, putting him ahead of Marcus Naslund with 106 points to win the Art Ross trophy for the NHL's leading points scorer.

History has been persued and attained. Now all we need is a Stanley Cup. *grin*

Let the playoffs begin...

Don't forget that Peter Forsberg had 10 more assists than Joe Thornton, who had the second most assists.

And don't forget that both Peter Forsberg and Milan Hejduk had the highest plus/minus with +50, second place being Nicklas Lidstrom with +41.

Go Avs.
