Just recognizing different planes on the objects.
More planes, and value to differentiate them.
My midterm. One-point perspective and some light and shade. I didn’t finish shading it, but it still came out alright.
Light and shade! Hey, it looks good when it’s this small! The one band of shadow on the pear looks a bit too dark though.
Here’s a little closer version. Yeah, the pear looks a bit funny. (The furthest most right one that is. The other one is a weird bumpy squash thing.) I like how the cherub looks though. His hair actually came out pretty decent! And the wing too. Whee. I kind of like how the little bowl thing came out too. Does it look metallic?
I like how the puppy came out, and Eeyore too. The shadow on the elephant looks a bit strange...
I like the knife especially, and the keys came out pretty good too. It kind of looks like they’re just floating there, but oh well.
My first attempt at charcoal, hehe. Messy, but it’s easy to blend. It kind of smudged, and it’s hard to tell what’s what exactly from this picture.
Here’s a poorly put together closer version. Well, it’s a draped cloth, and there’s a ceramic sculpture of an eye in the middle. On the bottom left is a chair, and on the right that’s, well, a lamp... The folds in the cloth look pretty neat. I didn’t quite have time to put in all the highlights though.
The evil eye... Well, it didn’t look that evil irl...
My second charcoal drawing. That’s my stuffed bat and a candle in a glass. It came out pretty neat.
