Tonight in acting class, we were improv-ing little scenes that take place before our actual scene. Wow, I suck at improv, hehe. I get so much more nervous when I don’t have any lines, cause then I’m desperately trying to think of something to say. One of our scenes was a fight between our characters, who are husband and wife. Our acting teacher had me shout, “You’re a selfish son of a bitch!” I actually shouted something nasty, hehe. I was thinking, “Oh, I have to really put it out there”, and my heart was racing with nervousness. But I did it, hehe. And then we went straight into the scene, during which my character is confronted by her husband after he finds out she’s been cheating on him. So now, to get in character, all I have to do is think, “You’re a selfish son of a bitch!” Then, I will be feeling angry under my guilt, so I should end up speaking louder, and it’ll end up making the scene more dynamic. Hooray for dynamic..ness.
