I need to get a big mirror I can put in my room for self-portraits. I actually think I’d make a pretty good model for photography and such, but don’t know how one gets into that exactly. And though I’d like to do modeling for fine arts, I don’t think I’d be comfortable being nude, so that eliminates a large market for figure drawing/painting classes and such. I just came up with a few different ideas for some dark-themed drawings. Sketched out one. The general feel of it (in my head anyway) is like Luis Royo’s work. Now if only I could learn to be that good, hehe. And, bloody, I’ve got to figure out composition, backgrounds, etc. See, things look great in my head, but I need to be able to capture all of that on paper.

Would you believe
In a night like this?
A night like this
When visions come true
Would you believe
In a tale like this?
A lay of bliss
We're praising the old lore
Come to the blazing fire and
See me in the Shadows
See me in the Shadows

Heh, most people have a big mirror in their rooms for other reasons.

Have you tried looking up any art shows? You can usually find some good contacts for future things you might try to do, as well as a wealth of advice.

And I don't mean art as in Monet art, but trade shows with various vendors and sponsors. Those can be a gold mine sometimes.
