I need to organize the files on my computer... I have a lot of files. Way too many files... I’m such a packrat with everything. Wasn’t there a comic monologue about files? Hm, maybe I could use that, hehe. I think I’ll make a Feudal Realms folder, because I’m sure a vast amount of these files have something to do with FR. I have a ton of logs in hundreds of pages long Word documents. And I’ve saved a huge amount of aim conversations. Maybe I should just delete those. Not sure if I should even read them again. I keep a ton of stuff just so I can look back over it one day. Some of it’s good, and some of it’s bad. No real point in keeping the bad stuff though. Maybe it’s best to just leave that in the past. I guess keeping stuff is my way to hang onto the past, to have it there in case I want to examine it again. Maybe I will make a new file to keep all the things I want to keep, the things that might actually have some use to me. Quotes, ideas, little pieces of things for stories, thoughts. That way I won’t have to sift through all the junk to find it again. Yeah, I really need to organize all my stuff.

I'm in the middle of trying to organize my files right now, too.

I'm digging through all my folders and dumping them into temporary folders on my secondary, larger HD. I have folders for photos, Adobe Acrobat files, Word files (and other text documents), LJ icons (I have to download any cool ones I see so I have a lot!), a couple image folders (RPG-related, random others), audio files, and video files.

I spent a couple hours copying and deleting files a couple days ago and I'm still not done!

Oh, and I have a folder for old AIM chats, too. ;)

I plan on archiving some of this stuff onto DVDs, as an alternative to casting them into the ether where deleted files go.

Also, because my packrat tendencies tell me that I might like to look back on some of them someday. Assuming that 20 years from now I can still have and can access the files on said DVDs. :P
