Working on a ten-minute play... Okay, I have these characters. They’re in a rehab clinic. And so far, they’ve met and are just talking. I need some sort of conflict. Um... Or my characters have to want something. Jack wants to get his life in order, he’s sick of where he is right now. Angel wants someone who can understand her. They’re both kind of down in a dark place and need to find their way out. So how do I exhibit this and give it some dramatic structure and wrap it up in ten minutes? I need some highs and lows. I need to make it interesting. People love interesting writing! Right now it’s just kind of... going nowhere. It needs to have a point. And... a plot. So... something has to happen. Hm.

This is how I feel. *points to little mood kitty* Sitting in front of laptop, staring and blinking.
