Ha, at CU Denver, they have a class called J.R.R. Tolkien! And Fantasy Literature! Actually, you can get a B.A. or B.F.A. in Theatre, Film, and Television (B.F.A. has a performance emphasis), which is more what I’m looking for. Hm, we were planning to go down to Metro tomorrow to talk to advisors. Maybe I will stop by CU Denver’s advising office and talk to someone there too. They’re both in the same complex, and I know there are some classes that you can take for credit at either school. I have to look into this more, I’m all excited now, hehe.

I think I remember seeing that class in CU Denver's catalog when I was thinking of going there. I took a class on Tolkien at my JC (they also offered a class on comic books!) but never expected to see one at a university level.

I liked the Metro/CU campus a lot when I visited and I thought it was cool that they included public transit via the rail in your tuition. Plus you're right there in the middle of the city! No excuse for being bored in between classes!

Just got back from heading down there today. We took the lightrail actually, and my sister mentioned that the cost is covered in your tuition. I think it took about a half an hour to get there from when we left. The lightrail ride is only about 15 minutes, but we drove to the stop in Englewood.

Got things a little more cleared up about what options to take. I think I'll see what the requirements are for CU Denver's B.A. in Theatre, Film, and Television (I only saw the B.F.A. requirements online) and I'll compare that with Metro and see which looks like the better option. Still debating about what to minor in too, but the advisor did say it's possible to double minor. There's just too many things I want to study. *snicker*
