Laul is back in Reiger.

And now Marcus is in Tirome.

*faints and dies*

Obviously "past history" has no meaning to some people...

I agree completely...*sigh*

Laul and I RPed out his whole leaving Riverdale thing very nicely...and there was a great reason for it, although I just kind of thought he was doing it for other reasons.

Well, I just went along with it and hoped for the best.

Now he's in Reiger.

And I'm one ticked off HL, heh...

So, yes...past history is completey forgotten. If I remember correctly...Laul Nomiki was HATED by Jahron Reiger. I mean, just to have him in house seems to be a disgrace to his memory.

Wait a minute.

Marcus - the one that was in Lunarou?

And Laul. In Reiger, again?! WTF?! Jahron and Canae would both be rolling over in their graves over that.

*groans*

Marcus is a rather.. confused individual. He's been around the houses as well. The last I saw, he was outcasted, hehe. And he's the one who went up to Trystram (when Ricky was playing him) and insulted him and his family, then wanted to sit down with him and have a drink.

Marcus actually tried to marry my female character...before I layed the nova down on his face. >:D

Argh, I can barely get up enough nerve to even ask if I can join a house, how do these people pull off doing it weekly?

Here's my thought.

Laul was given the choice to execute one person by Rich. Laul chose me. And they did. Killed me, executed me, and full looted me. Then he goes to Reiger, saying that he 'will not do it again.'

Marcus is in Tirome only because I outcasted him. They will learn the same mistake i did.

Plus hasn't laul been tossed/outcasted from reiger like 3 times?

Here's the way I see it.

Feudal Realms is text. It's all words on a screen that has no relevance to life. It's run by a man named Charles, or Chuck. His name in the text is Terloch. He's spent the last 7, almost 8 years creating and working on this game. He's spent time creating it, structuring it around the wants and needs of the players as a whole. He's spent his money on it as well. How much money have you donated to the MUD, Terloch, or spent so that the game can function and continue running?

Or have you only complained and whined about things, or pretended to help new players or put people in line, instead? If you've done any of that, congratulations, that's what makes you feel like a good person inside. But until you've done anything like what Terloch does, then you deserve a right to complain.

Otherwise, you're just text to him, a word with letters put together again that he can type after the word "deny" or "ban" or whatever so that he doesn't have to deal with you.

But this isn't directed at you in particular, so don't go thinking I'm singling you out, or writing this specifically because of you or anybody else.

How many areas have you built? How many mprogs have you made? How much code have you written? How many storylines have you helped create for Kirganthis and the whole game as a whole? How many quests have you run that were ACTUAL quests not just loading a mob and saying "Let's kill it" or "Whomever answers the most questions right is cool"?

It's text, you're text, you mean absolutely nothing to any of us, if you left, we'd all get over it and forget about you. The same goes for any one of us.

You died on a game, cry about it. You spent time getting equipment and restringing it without needing any requirements (Like writs) and you lost it on a game, cry about it. The only thing you lost was time on your life which you wasted. Cry about that instead, because we don't care about your characters or what happens to them, the only time we might care is if it pertains to us or our characters.

I've already spent nearly 1000 (At 930 or so now), I've lost my corpse in a crash, had my corpse stolen. I've had some of the best equipment stolen or mysteriously disappear (And not once did I blame an immortal). Not once did I sit there and start blaming people, complaining about it, or anything. All I said was, "I got it before, I can get it again. I've gotten stuff like that on all previous heroes, I can get it again." ...And I did.

Something bad happens, shrug it off and do something good.

And the entire moral of this, incase you didn't get it.

Something happens with another character (Meaning they join a house after leaving one, or join a house they don't belong in, et cetera), it isn't your business unless you're the House Leader or an administrator.

...That's all.
nathannateaintemo on February 5th, 2003 12:36 pm (UTC)
I could retort, but I will choose not to.

I was not complaining, in the slightest.

Vickiemelopene on February 5th, 2003 04:18 pm (UTC)
Actually, when things like that happen, if players don't like it - they can either complain and hope the situation is rectified, or they can leave.

It IS a player's business. They're investing time in a game too. I'm a former player and a former imm and a former builder. I built countless areas there. I spent unimaginable hours working on the game. I complained - and then I left.

And I can tell you personally that both Marianne, myself, and Nate as well have contributed to those storylines, non-stupid quests, and I personally -did- send money.

So.. yeah. They have a right to complain. And if an admin or whatever doesn't care - then you have a problem with your MUD.

-Calawien/Salja/you all know who the hell I am.

Yes, Laul is in Reiger.

Why?

Because Laul is roleplaying a change, a change that he has dedicated time to. Being that in the game a day is 2 real time hours, Laul has been "changed" for almost four months now. Alucard is a Paladin, or striving to be one. Past history or not, how could he ignore Laul's attempt at virtue? he would be hypocritical to do so.

Roleplay is key, before anything else.

Now, for those of you wondering if this is fancy somantics hiding some ulterior motive, then realize Laul is still noPK, so its not that.

And for those of you mentioning Jahron, that was a very personal thing. Laul was VERY well behaved when last in Reiger. Jahron and he simply didn't get along.

...

Hehehe laul is pk now, and I thought he had that big "i'm going into the forest fiasco" to end his fr career, not as an excuse to jump from riverdale to reiger... or I may have missed out on some part of it. But yea, now that ya only need a leader to sanction your for a red+ he can get it, since they said he wasn't getting it again or something.. but um... yea
Nashminiedgelx on February 7th, 2003 06:15 pm (UTC)
hrm
as for marcus... he's always confused me, he wooed and then tried to kill celani, then claimed he was inhabited by the devil or something, and laul exorcised him... after that he stopped playing a while, then came back heroed joined gelathia and then the whole thing with them... and then he was outcast :D
